Vince and Jeff talk about the past week for the Dodgers, which saw them go 4-3 and gain ground on the Giants. The pitching struggled except for Julio Urias, but the offense was very good, especially Adrian Gonzalez. We also discussed Chase Utley's grand homecoming.

Last week's question of the week (What deal with the devil would you make to guarantee a Dodgers World Series victory?) got a lot of good answers. This week's QotW is: What is your favorite Dodgers/Giants memory?

Thanks for listening! Tweet at us! @ScullyAve @VinceSamperio @snidog

Vince and Jeff are back with more Dodgers talk. We discussed last week's Question  of the Week, about which minor leaguers our listeners are excited to see in the big leagues.

This week's QotW is: What deal with the devil would you make for the Dodgers to win the World Series this year?

In the mailbag, we spun off into a discussion of Clayton Kershaw's Cy Young chances this year.

Thanks for listening!

Aug 9, 2016

Vince and Jeff talked with Dodgers prospect Cody Bellinger. We talked about life as a prospect at the trade deadline, his experience in the Little League World Series, growing up with a Major League father, and the ultimate goal of playing in Clayton Kershaw's ping pong tournament at Dodger Stadium, among other things.

We also discussed last week's Question of the Week, with the consensus that the Manny Ramirez trade is everyone's favorite. This week's QotW is: Which Dodgers minor leaguer are you most excited to see in the big leagues?

Thanks for listening. Tweet at us: @ScullyAve, @VinceSamperio, and @snidog.

The trade deadline happened, and Vince and Jeff talked about the three trades the Dodgers made. We also talked about Yasiel Puig being sent to the minors and not acting childish about it no matter what some anonymous sources say.

Finally, we discussed last week's Question of the Week: Who would you put on the Dodgers' Mount Rushmore?

We got a lot of great responses, and after tallying up the votes, the four faces being engraved into the face of the hills just below the Hollywood sign are Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Vin Scully, and Clayton Kershaw. Congratulations to those four!

This week's QotW: What is your favorite trade the Dodgers ever made?

Vince Samperio and Jeff Snider are back with another episode that Los Angeles Dodgers fans are sure to love or like or tolerate or something! We talked about the past week in Dodgers news, including every pitcher getting hurt; why so much negativity surrounds a team that is having a very good season; and what numbers Chris Sale and Chris Archer will wear for the Dodgers.

We had a lot of good answers to last week's Question of the Week about the Hall of Shame. This week's question is:

What four people would you put on the Dodgers Mount Rushmore? List four people -- not three or five -- and we will tally up the votes and decide on a definitive Dodgers Mount Rushmore next week.

Thanks for listening! Send your questions and QotW answers on Twitter @ScullyAve, and follow us @VinceSamperio and @snidog.

It was a rough weekend for Dodgers fans, but Vince and Jeff are here to cheer you up. We talked about the series loss to the D-Backs, Joc Pederson's imminent return, and a lot of other things.

We had a ton of answers to last week's Question of the Week, so thanks for those. This week's QotW: Who is in your Dodgers Hall of Shame? Tell us who the worst Dodgers were.

Thanks for listening. Keep following us at @ScullyAve, @VinceSamperio, and @snidog.

Jul 13, 2016

Vince and Jeff talked about the last six games before the All-Star break, which included three straight losses and then three straight wins for the Dodgers. Lots of good answers to last week's Question of the Week (most pleasant first-half surprise), and we hope to follow it up with this week's QotW:

What non-Dodger do you wish was a Dodger? This was inspired by Jeff watching the Home Run Derby and just dreaming of Giancarlo Stanton in Dodger Blue.

Tweet your answers to @ScullyAve, and follow @VinceSamperio and @snidog, too.

Lots to talk about this week! The Dodgers have three guys in their starting rotation who weren't there a week ago (Brandon McCarthy, Bud Norris, and Hyun-jin Ryu), and they have three guys on the All-Star team (Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, and Corey Seager). We also talked a bit about trade deadline stuff in response to listener emails.

Lots of good answers to last week's Question of the Week about what you will miss most about Vin Scully. Be sure to go to www.game7threads.com and search for Vin Scully to buy some unique Vinny t-shirts.

This week's QotW is: Who is the most pleasant surprise of the first half for the Dodgers?

We had questions this week about pretty much everything we wanted to talk about, including Clayton Kershaw's back, Joc Pederson's shoulder, Brock Stewart's MLB debut, and a lot more.

This week's question of the week is a sad one: What will you miss most about Vin Scully when he's gone? Tweet your answers to @ScullyAve.

Jun 21, 2016

The Dodgers have won 6 out of 7 and the offense is starting to show signs of life. Clayton Kershaw is amazing. A lot of injured players are rehabbing. Sure, the Giants keep winning and some guys are still struggling, but Vince and Jeff focus on the good news this week.

A lot of answers to last week's question ("What realistic trade would you like the Dodgers to make?") although most of the answers forgot to mention what the Dodgers would give up in such trades.

This week's question: If you could pick a Dodger player's walkup music, which player and which song would you choose?

Tweet your answers (or mailbag questions) to @ScullyAve.

Jun 7, 2016

Among other things, Vince and Jeff talk about Julio Urias's second start, Clayton Kershaw's uncharacteristic scoreless start, Corey Seager's home runs against the Braves, and the sad but overdue departure of Carl Crawford.

We got a lot of answers to last week's Question of the Week about your favorite player to never play for the Dodgers. Ken Griffey Jr. was a very popular answer.

This week's QotW: What realistic trade would you like to see the Dodgers make? Remember to make them realistic -- the Angels aren't trading Mike Trout for Pedro Baez.

Thanks for listening! Tweet your mailbag questions and your answers to the QotW to @ScullyAve

The Dodgers won six out of seven games, and the one they lost was tied in the ninth inning. Then they had a bad game against the best team in baseball, and you'd think the good stuff never happened. So our mailbag this week is full of "what's wrong with X?" and "when are they finally gonna send Y to the minors?" questions. But we answered some of them anyway.

We also talked about the pros and cons of Julio Urias's major-league debut, Chase Utley's first game action in the Big Apple since becoming New York's Most Wanted, and quite a few other topics.

We read some of your answers to last week's Question of the Week (unique promo giveaway you'd like to see), and we presented this week's question: Who was your favorite non-Dodger? Listen to hear answers from Vince and Jeff, and then tweet your answers to us at @ScullyAve. Follow us there, and follow us individually at @VinceSamperio and @snidog.

Please rate/review us on iTunes if you like the show, and we'd love to hear from you.

May 24, 2016

In this week's mailbag, Vince and Jeff talked about whether we'd rather have Trayce Thompson, Micah Johnson, and Frankie Montas or Todd Frazier; why the Dodgers don't steal more often; and how scared we get when Clayton Kershaw runs the bases.

We also discussed Dave Roberts as a manager, the state of the starting pitching staff, and the hot take that Kershaw is good.

We had some good answers to last week's Question of the Week. This week's question: What bobblehead or similar promotion would you like the Dodgers to do? Answers can be funny or sincere, whatever you want.

Tweet your mailbag questions and your QotW answers to @ScullyAve. Tweet directly at @VinceSamperio and @snidog, too.

May 18, 2016

Jeff and Vince answer your Los Angeles Dodgers questions, including some about Corey Seager, Howie Kendrick, and Pedro Baez.

Last week's Question of the Week was a clunker, but we read the few answers we got. This week's is MUCH better: What player (Dodger or otherwise) would you love to see playing out of position? Yasiel Puig or Aaron Hicks on the mound? Aroldis Chapman in right field? Tell us who you'd like to see play where and why.

We finished up with a few jabs at the little brothers down the 5, the Anaheim Angels of Orange County. It's not a rivalry.

Thanks for listening. As always, you can find us on Twitter: @ScullyAve, @VinceSamperio, and @snidog.

In Episode 3, Jeff and Vince recap the east-coast road trip that saw the Dodgers go 3-2 against the American League East. Then we discuss Angry Dodgers Twitter and whether it is rational to think Yasiel Puig is the worst player in the world and that the Dodgers should trade him for Mike Trout (or something like that).

In the mailbag, we discuss the pitching staff and the impending arrivals of Julio Urias and Jose De Leon. Vince is much better at pronouncing "Urias" than Jeff is.

We got a lot of answers to last week's Question of the Week (favorite player growing up and why), so many that we couldn't get to them all.

This week's Question of the Week: What is your favorite food to eat at Dodger Stadium and why do you love it? If it's hard to find, be sure to tell us where to get it.

Thanks for listening! As always, contact us via Twitter (@ScullyAve), Facebook (facebook.com/groups/ScullyAve), or email (scullyave@gmail.com), and follow Vince and Jeff on Twitter too (@VinceSamperio and @snidog, respectively).
