Jeff and Vince discuss the Dodgers' historic run in a lot of different ways. We also played a fun new game where we looked at a random Dodger game from the past on this date. Our random number generator sent us to August 8, 2000, which turned out to be a historic game in Dodgers history!

Former Cy Young Award winner Eric Gagne joined Vince and Jeff today to talk about his days with the Dodgers, what he's up to these days, his comeback attempt earlier this year, and a ton of other things. Thoroughly enjoyable talk with a man who bleeds Dodger Blue.

We also answered a bunch of mailbag questions, mostly related to the trade deadline deals from yesterday and their ramifications going forward. Lots of good questions and decent answers today.

We mentioned at the beginning that we were on a time crunch, and then we did our longest episode in a while. Lots of mailbag questions and some talk of the three-game sweep of the Marlins. Thanks for listening!

Today's Sporcle quiz was a fun one: Can you name the MLB All-Star Game starters from 2000 to 2009? Take the quiz and let us know how you did.

We answered some mailbag questions, many of which were about possible trades, but lots of other good questions, too. Then we talked about the Home Run Derby and the Dodgers' remaining schedule for the season.

It's your right as an American to vote for Justin Turner for the All-Star Game. Go to www.dodgers.com/vote and spend the entire 45 minutes that you listen to this podcast voting for JT. It will be fun!

Plenty of Dodger talk in here, too. Lots of good mailbag questions, so we talked trading deadline stuff, Austin Barnes, Kenley Jansen's comments about the ASG, and a ton of other stuff.

Today's Sporcle quiz is: Can you name the last MLB player to accomplish the specified statistical feat? Let us know how you did!

In this episode, we focused mostly on mailbag questions from you and listeners like you. A lot of topics were covered, so even if you didn't send in your question, we probably answered it anyway. Then we talked about Julio Urias's season-ending surgery, Cody Bellinger's amazing awesomeness, and some other stuff.

In this episode, Vince and Jeff answered some mailbag questions and then talked about the Cody Bellinger/Adrian Gonzalez conundrum, the relative struggles of Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw, and the general goings-on in the land of the Dodgers.

We also did a Sporcle challenge, and Vince finally won one! Here is this week's quiz, which you can take along with us early in the episode: Can you name the baseball team RBI leaders from 2000 - 2009?

Let us know how you did on the quiz, and send us your mailbag questions! Follow us on Twitter -- @ScullyAve @snidog @VinceSamperio

It's a special episode! Dodgers fifth-round draft pick Riley Ottesen stopped by Jeff's house to talk about his experience being drafted and what we can expect from him going forward. Vince couldn't make it, but it was great anyway. Thanks to Riley for stopping by, and thanks to everyone for listening!

This episode started with Jeff telling Vince about his night in the Dodgers broadcast booth, which was amazing. You can watch the slideshow his wife made for him to present his birthday gift here.

The rest of the episode was mailbag. We had some great questions and decent answers, like always. Be sure to tweet your questions at us, and if you have any questions for Jeff about his booth experience, tweet those too.

On this episode, Vince and Jeff talk about the Giants/Nationals brawl that was started by crybaby Hunter Strickland being a big crying crybaby. We analyzed it from every angle, really. Crack analysis, guaranteed. We also did some live research into whether there is a Dairy Queen for Strickland to work at in his hometown of Thomaston, Georgia.

Later, we talked about the Dodgers' use of the 10-day disabled list and how awesome it is that our favorite team has a front office that is smart.

This week's Sporcle quiz was:

Can you name the hitters with the most PA playing their whole career for just one Major League Baseball franchise?

It was harder than we thought it was going to be.

Vince and Jeff talk about a lot of different Dodgers topics in this episode, thanks to some great questions from Listeners Like You! There's also one really stupid question from a guy who represents all that is bad about Angry Dodgers Twitter, and Jeff takes the opportunity to scold him and encourage the rest of you to not be like him.

Today's Sporcle quiz, which you can take along with us at the prescribed moment during the podcast:

Can you name the players in the National Baseball Hall of Fame?

Let us know how you did on the quiz. You can tweet at us @ScullyAve @VinceSamperio and @snidog. Follow us, and thanks for listening!

Vince and Jeff forgot to do a Sporcle quiz last week, but we're back with a good one this week. You should take it too! It is:

Can you name the 1980's Los Angeles Dodgers?

Considering that Jeff was actually alive in the 1980s, it's not surprising that he beat Vince on this one.

We had a few mailbag questions we answered, and then we discussed our topics. Vince wanted to talk about whether the Rockies are going to stay good all year, and Jeff wanted to talk about Clayton Kershaw's "struggles" so far.

Today's game starts in three hours, and Kershaw will hopefully break this little losing streak the team is on. Go Dodgers!

Episode 50 got interrupted a few minutes in when Jeff's wife called and asked him to go pick up his sick son at school. We thought about editing it out, but we decided it was important for the listeners to hear Jeff's ringtone. We answered a few mailbag questions, and then a few questions tied into the topics we wanted to discuss.

Jeff's topic was whether the Dodgers should stick with a six-man rotation, but with Clayton Kershaw still starting every fifth game. We discussed the merits and drawbacks of that plan.

Vince's topic was about the injury to Andrew Toles in last night's game and what the Dodgers should do if he's out for a while. We discussed the possibility of prospect Alex Verdugo filling that spot.

Thanks for listening. Please keep sending in your mailbag questions. And follow us on Twitter! @ScullyAve @VinceSamperio @snidog

We started Episode 49 with the weekly Sporcle Challenge, in which Jeff and Vince both took this Sporcle quiz and you should too:

Can you name the Dodgers players who have received Cy Young votes?

Then we did the Dodgers mailbag, although most of the questions were about Cody Bellinger, so we skipped them until we got to the point of the show where we spent 20 minutes talking about Cody Bellinger. In between, we talked about the back-to-back-to-back homers in the ninth inning of Saturday's game, including Joe Davis's masterful call(s).

We had so many mailbag questions today that we just focused on them. But first, we did our Sporcle challenge, wherein Jeff and Vince both take the same Sporcle quiz and then compare results. You should take the quiz now (or when Jeff gives the cue during the episode) and compare your results. Today's quiz:

Can you name the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers All-Time HR Leaders?

In our discussion of the quiz, we also talked about Joe Ferguson's catch and throw in the 1974 World Series, which you can watch here. And you really should watch it if you've never seen it.

After the Sporcle challenge, we answered your Twitter questions, and we covered pretty much everything of interest to Dodgers fans.
